When we accepted Jesus' call on our lives as children to abandon our sin and our own desires and instead follow Him wherever he leads, we had no idea what that was going to look like. It is easy to take a quick glance and see a lot that following Him has cost us. We are thousands of miles from family and friends. We do not have the luxuries or potential financial security that we could have if we had 'real' jobs.

But we have gained so much more than we have ever missed. We get to have the joy of seeing people impacted by God's Word as it is translated into their heart language for the first time. We are regularly amazed to have God work through His people to meet needs. As directors of the Pacific Orientation Course, we rejoice with new colleagues as they make new discoveries about themselves, about the people of Papua New Guinea and about God.

When we follow God's will for our lives, it is like we make the leap from early black and white television to the best 1080p 3D stereo surround system available. We get to live life in hi definition.
